Our Team
Mark Derbyshire is the principal of Radway Australia Pty Ltd.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Building (B. Build) from Melbourne University and has an Open Supervisors Licence issued by the QBCC (79827).
Mark is also a Justice of the Peace (J.P. Qual.)
Mark has been part of the construction industry in Queensland for over 30 years and prior to establishing in Brisbane Mark operated in the Middle East, the Pacific Islands and Northern Territory.
Mark is from old school stock but abreast of current technologies and issues the product of our modern construction environment.

Quantity Surveying & Estimating

Site Supervison & Project Administration
- We are available for stop-gap site supervision solution to bridge personnel gaps in ongoing construction projects.
- Our skill base also extends to on site project administration or office based project administration.
Fire Restoration Works - Warehouse
Insurance repair works required from a fire started in a middle unit within the project requiring structural replacement of fire affected materials as well as a deep clean to remove soot and smoke smells from the building. For the builder contracted for the repair works our involvement with this project as an employee included initial and then updated cost plans based on developed documentation and repair scope finalisation. Also during the construction phase involvement included project management, contract administration and for part of the project site supervision.

Warehouse Development - Richlands
Completion of this project was undertaken through a construction management arrangement.Our involvement with this project included 4 Weeks relief site supervision for the building project manager contractor engaged to undertake the project completion works
Foodstuffs Projects - New Zealand
An Australian based company established operations in Auckland entered into a construction mangement arrangement with Foodstuffs - New Zealand. This arrangement included early contractor involvement establishing budgets for projects and developing these budgets through 30% to 100% documentation in stages as well as offerring build method input.Our Involvement with seven Foodstuffs projects was as lead estimator and included for measuring and pricing works at the various stage of documentation alongs with calling for prices from subcontractors and suppliers as well as bench marking budgets against previous projects undertaken by Foodstuffs. Involvement included being located both in Auckland and in Brisbane.
St Andrews Lutheran College - Tallebudgera
Works included fire restoration works and a building remodel over three storeys creating a 300 seat auditorium, flexible learing areas, dance studio, music room, boardroom and gymnasiumOur involvement with this project as an employee for the contracted builder to undertke the repair works included preparing detailed pricing estimates during fire make safe works, fire restoration like for like estimates and then for the extra over costs for the building remodelling works.
Alexandra Hills Hotel & Accomodation Suites
Works included the demolition of the existion function area to create 7 new function rooms, remodel of the main reception, new kitchen and bar as well as a two level 40 suite hotel.Our involvement with this project as an employee for the contracted builder included preparing detailed pricing estimates and construction variation pricing.
